John Stroud is a two-time All-America pick with the Ole Miss Rebels and is the top scorer in school history with 2,328 points, which also ranks third in SEC history. He followed his college career with a two-year stint with the Houston Rockets of the NBA before embarking on a coaching career that included stops at Alabama, East Mississippi Community College, Millsaps College and currently at New Albany, MS High School. John is a 2009 inductee into the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame.

Lee Smith is entering his 23rd year as a member of the Briarcrest Christian School faculty. Lee is a graduate of Lyon College, formerly Arkansas College, in Batesville, Arkansas, where he played basketball and ran cross-country. At Briarcrest, he served three years as an assistant coach for boys’ basketball, boys’ track, and varsity football. He also served 17 years as head varsity boys’ basketball coach. Coach Smith now holds the position of Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach.

Brad Gray joined the coaching staff at New Albany High School for the 2008-09 school year as Head Boys’ Basketball Coach. Coach Gray comes to New Albany from Lewisburg High School in Olive Branch where he has been Head Basketball Coach for two seasons. Prior to that, he was head coach for both basketball and baseball at Hickory Flat High School.
